Florel handbags are crafted by skilled artisans in Italy and Guangzhou, China—each chosen for their expertise, attention to detail, and ability to bring our designs to life beautifully.
Our founder’s Black and Chinese heritage is an integral part of the Florel story. Guangzhou holds an especially personal connection as the hometown of her grandfather—a connection to her Chinese heritage, family history, and a place with generations of skilled craftsmanship.

Our manufacturing partners maintain internationally recognized certifications and independent third-party audits, including:
- amfori BSCI Social Audits evaluating labor practices, workplace safety, employee rights, environmental protection, and ethical business conduct.
- SMETA (Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit) assessments covering labor standards, health and safety, environmental practices, and ethical business systems.
- ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems supporting consistent quality throughout the design and production process.
- Global Recycled Standard (GRS) certification for qualifying recycled-material products.
In addition, we source leather from Leather Working Group (LWG)-certified tanneries, which are independently audited for responsible environmental practices, resource management, and leather manufacturing standards.
